Refund Policy

Effective Date: April 1, 2026

1.1 Scope

This refund policy applies to all paid services purchased through official Din Academy channels, covering role subscriptions (8 SKUs) and Cat Food packs (4 SKUs).

1.2 Role Subscriptions: 7-Day Unconditional Refund

Within 7 calendar days of your first subscription payment, you may request a full refund without stating a reason.

  • Applicable to: First-time subscribers with no more than 20 conversations used within 7 days
  • Refund amount: Full refund of paid fees
  • Refund method: Returned to original payment account within 3-7 business days
  • After refund: Account reverts to the corresponding free tier

1.3 Cat Food Pack Refund Rules

Cat Food packs are virtual consumables subject to the following refund rules:

  • Unused Cat Food: Full refund available within 7 days of purchase
  • Partially used: Refund of remaining value after deducting consumed Cat Food
  • Fully used or beyond 7 days: No refund

1.4 Refunds Beyond 7 Days

After the 7-day unconditional refund period, refunds may still be granted for:

  • Service interruption: Server failure lasting over 72 consecutive hours (pro-rated refund)
  • Duplicate charges: Full refund of duplicate portion
  • Unauthorized minor purchases: Full refund for users under 16 with valid proof of unauthorized payment

1.5 Non-Refundable Cases

  • Beyond 7-day period and not covered by Section 1.4
  • Virtual services redeemed through Cat Food (e.g., unlocked SOP templates)
  • Used cross-character experience sessions
  • Accounts suspended or terminated due to Terms of Service violations
  • Remaining subscription period after voluntary cancellation (features remain active until expiry)

1.6 Annual Subscription Special Terms

  • Full refund available within first 30 days (with no more than 50 conversations used)
  • After 30 days: Refund = Annual payment - Months used × Monthly price

Example: Professor annual plan JP¥9,800, used 3 months → Refund = JP¥9,800 - 3 × JP¥1,180 = JP¥6,260
