2.1 Service Overview
Din Academy ("we") is an AI-powered personalized learning platform developed and operated by the Din Academy team. We provide Socratic dialogue teaching, project-based learning (PBL), and personalized growth companionship through five AI characters for users of different age groups.
Our AI services are powered by the Anthropic large language model. By using any Din Academy services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
2.2 Accounts & Registration
- Users must provide a valid email address to register (Magic Link login) or use Google account login
- Each user may register only one account; sharing, transferring, or selling accounts is prohibited
- Users under 16 years old must use the service under parental/guardian consent and supervision
- Users are responsible for safeguarding their login credentials
- Contact us immediately if you notice any account anomalies
2.3 Service Content & Limitations
Free tier services are available with limited dialogue counts and features. Paid subscriptions provide unlimited conversations, full memory systems, advanced SOP templates, learning reports, and other premium features. Cat Food packs provide additional virtual currency for unlocking premium features.
2.4 AI Service Disclaimer
- Din Academy's AI characters are artificial intelligence programs, not real teachers, career counselors, or therapists
- AI-generated content is for learning reference only and does not constitute professional advice
- AI may produce inaccurate or incomplete information; users should independently verify important decisions
- We continuously optimize our AI model; service experience may change with version updates
2.5 User Code of Conduct
When using Din Academy services, you agree not to:
- Generate illegal, harmful, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or pornographic content
- Attempt injection attacks, jailbreaking, or other malicious behavior against the AI system
- Use automated tools to batch-call service interfaces
- Commercially redistribute or sell paid content
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your age group
- Exploit the Cat Food system vulnerabilities
- Abuse the refund mechanism through repeated subscribe-refund cycles
Violations may result in account suspension or termination without refund.
2.6 Intellectual Property
- Din Academy's brand, character designs, interface design, Persona Prompts, and SOP templates are our intellectual property
- Content generated by users (conversations, projects, notes) belongs to the users
- We may use anonymized conversation data to improve AI models but will not disclose personally identifiable information
2.7 Data & Privacy
- User data is stored in Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL with Row Level Security (RLS) enabled
- Each user can only access their own data
- We do not sell personal data to third parties
- Users may export their learning data at any time
- Personal data will be completely deleted within 30 calendar days after account cancellation
2.8 Subscriptions, Cat Food & Renewal
- Monthly subscriptions auto-renew and can be cancelled anytime
- Annual subscriptions are paid upfront; renewal reminders sent 30 days before expiry
- Cat Food packs are one-time purchases; balance never expires
- We reserve the right to adjust prices with 30 days advance notice
2.9 Service Interruption & Disclaimer
Din Academy is not liable for service interruptions caused by force majeure, third-party service failures, planned maintenance (24-hour advance notice), or user network/device issues.
2.10 Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via app notifications, email, or website announcements. Continued use of services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
2.11 Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation; failing that, the Chiba District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
